Frequently asked questions

Straight answers on pricing, process, and experience: the things clients ask before the first job.

How does your pricing work?

We provide fair, upfront pricing based on the job's scope, labor, materials, and travel. We're happy to work within your budget when possible and always discuss any changes before additional work is performed. No surprise fees.

What is your process for working with a new client?

We start by understanding your project and what you need done. We provide clear pricing and discuss the scope before getting started. Once approved, we schedule the work, keep you updated throughout the project, and make sure everything is completed properly and to your satisfaction.

What training and experience do you have?

I have extensive hands-on experience maintaining government facilities and military installations, including work at high-security federal sites. My training and field experience cover HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, doors, painting, building systems, and general facility maintenance.

How did AKA Property Services get started?

I started in the facilities maintenance field and built my experience through hands-on work in government facilities and military installations. Over the years, I expanded my skills across multiple trades and eventually started my own property maintenance business to provide that same level of professional service to homeowners and businesses.

What types of clients do you work with?

I've worked with homeowners, property managers, commercial businesses, restaurants, retail facilities, government agencies, and military installations. My experience ranges from small residential repairs to large commercial and facility maintenance projects.

What's a recent project you're proud of?

A complete barbershop renovation, including lighting, painting, plumbing, barber stations, wallpaper, and LVT flooring. The project took approximately two weeks and transformed the space into a clean, modern, professional environment. You can see it in the project gallery.

What advice would you give someone hiring a maintenance provider?

Look for a provider who is experienced, reliable, and communicates clearly. Make sure the scope of work and pricing are understood upfront, and choose someone who takes pride in their workmanship. Experience with both residential and commercial projects is always a plus.

What should I think through before requesting a quote?

Think about exactly what you want completed, your preferred timeline, and your budget. Photos and measurements can also help. Be upfront about any known issues or special requirements so we can provide an accurate scope and estimate.
